The new year is almost here but many bad practices continue which is why WisCOSH is offering free workshops on protecting workers from the hazards in the workplace. Every workplace has hazards present. Every worker is promised safe work in a healthy environment. It seems contradictory but that is why we are offering our “PPE: A Worker’s Last Line of Defense” workshop. This is a free workshop.
WisCOSH will be offering this workshop from now through September 2025. There will be regularly scheduled workshops at the WisCOSH office in Milwaukee as well as at other facilities. The workshop is available in English, Spanish or bilingually.
In this workshop we will cover the hierarchy of controls and how they apply to hazards. We will then discuss personal protective equipment and it’s roll in protecting workers from harm. We will look at several types of PPE, discuss what is and isn’t PPE and what OSHA has to say about the use of PPE in the workplace.
