Basic OSH Rights & Responsibilities

This class is the cornerstone to understanding both the worker’s and the employer’s rights and responsibilities in the workplace. It covers what OSHA is and where it came from, what OSHA does and how to contact and use OSHA to ensure safe and healthy work and working conditions. This class also touches on several other laws – both State and Federal – that apply to safe work and healthy working conditions. Beyond knowing the laws and agencies that enforce them practical and effective methods of using the laws to effect positive change in the workplace is discussed.

On average this class lasts 2 hours and has time for Q&A at the end. The class can be split into multiple sessions if necessary but preferably at least 30 minutes each.

All participants will receive reference materials and a Certificate of Completion. There is no cost to participants.
